Peak season surcharges (PSS) land fast and are billed on the loading or sailing date — not on the date you quoted your customer. This morning briefing gathers every surcharge currently listed on the FocusFlow Surcharge Radar, each one taken from an official carrier notice or a published trade report.

What forwarders should do this week
- Re-check open quotes on Asia–West Africa and Asia–East Coast South America: a quote valid past 1, 6 or 9 November may not cover the new PSS.
- Add a surcharge clause ("subject to carrier surcharges in force at loading date") to every spot quote.
- Match the trigger date: CMA CGM applies loading date, MSC the proforma date, MSC Canada/Mexico the sailing date. The trigger decides who pays.
- Track the actual loading date of each booking — a container rolled by one week can fall into the new surcharge period.
Methodology
Each entry above comes from an official carrier notice or a trade report quoting one. FocusFlow scans official carrier sites every morning and adds a surcharge only when the source states the carrier, the route and the effective date. Always confirm the final amount with your carrier contract before invoicing.
Follow every update live on the Surcharge Radar and track the loading date of your containers on FocusFlow.
