Container tracking / CMA CGM tracking
CMA CGM tracking: validate the container, then follow it
Paste a CMA CGM container number (CMAU, CGMU, ECMU, APZU…). We check it against ISO 6346, confirm the owning carrier and show you where the milestone history lives — free, no account.
Free ISO 6346 check: we verify the container number, its check digit and the owning carrier before you waste time in a carrier portal. No account needed.
How CMA CGM container tracking works
1. Validate the number
4 letters + 7 digits, with a check digit computed from the first ten characters. A mismatch means the number was mistyped.
2. Confirm the carrier
CMAU, CGMU and ECMU are CMA CGM; APZU is APL, part of the same group. Any other prefix belongs to a different line.
3. Watch the free time
Discharge and gate-out timestamps drive demurrage and detention. Those are the two dates worth alerting on.
4. Automate the follow-up
Import your container list once, then let the milestones, ETA changes and delay alerts come to you.
Multi-carrier is the real problem
Very few forwarders ship with a single line. CMA CGM today, MSC next week, Hapag-Lloyd for the backhaul — and one portal per carrier. FocusFlow Logistics consolidates every container into one dashboard with automatic milestones, delay and ETA-change alerts, client status links and ISO 14083 / GLEC CO₂ per shipment for CSRD reporting.
